Here is a recipe for Raw Cacao Bliss Balls – lots of nutritious goodies in them including raw cocoa (full of antioxidants), coconut oil (with wonderful lauric acid) and chia seeds (for Omega 3 & 6). Enjoy!
INGREDIENTS:
- 1 C of almonds
- 1-1/4 C of sunflower seeds
- 1/4 C of Sesame Seeds
- 1/2 C of shredded coconut
- 1/2 C dates chopped
- 1/2 teas cinnamon
- Pinch of Himalayan Salt
- 1/4 C of raw cacao powder
- 1/4 C coconut oil
- 1/4 C honey
- 1/4 C of chia seeds (optional)
- 1/2 C of cranberries or sour cherries
PROCEDURE:
- Grind almonds, seeds and coconut in a food processor to a course flour consistency
Add dates and blend mixture (add cranberries if you prefer them blended other wise add later) - Transfer the ground nuts to a mixing bowl, add salt, cinnamon and cacao powder and mix well
- Add oil and honey and knead mixture well
- Add chia seeds
- Shape into balls
- Roll balls in cacao powder or desiccated coconut
- Refrigerate until ready to eat
