Do you find yourself getting stuck in your own head with a myriad of thoughts going around and around in circles until you almost feel dizzy?

Do you notice recurring thoughts playing on repeat like flies you want to swat with a swatter?

Maybe it starts with one thought, the seed thought, about yourself or someone else, and before you know it you have grown a plantation of scenarios in your mind.

This plantation of thoughts then manifests in your body as anxiety, stress, or pain.

This is pretty normal from my experience and the work that I do. So many of us feel at the mercy of our thoughts, whether it is creating future scenarios, replaying past scenarios, or listening to the inner critic yelling through the loud hailer of our mind.

The problem is that the more we are in our heads, the less we are in the body and the less we tap into what we are really feeling on an emotional level. When we stop feeling we deny a huge amount of inner wisdom to show us the truth of the situation.

I am constantly working with people to bring them back into their bodies and acknowledge what they are really feeling, what is the trigger, what is the root cause and what really needs our acknowledgment and attention.

Today, I wanted to share with you one of the simplest ways you can start bringing yourself back into your body and out of your head. This is a common mindfulness technique called the body scan.

The benefits of the body scan include:

  • Reduced stress and anxiety
  • Reduced cortisol in the body
  • Improved sleep
  • Reduced pain in the body
  • Reduced inflammation
  • Decreased feelings of fatigue
  • Greater self-awareness

I wanted to gift you with the body scan exercise that is taken from my upcoming course (one of many resources I share to help you feel more aligned in your body and mind).

It is just 8 minutes long and all you need to do is sit or lie down, listen and reap the benefits.

Here is your FREE BODY SCAN.

I would love to know how you feel after trying it out.
