Fig and Hemp Protein Balls

These Fig and Hemp Protein Balls are highly nutritious and a delicious little snack to enjoy at any time of the day. The hemp seeds are an excellent source of complete plant protein, they also contain Omega 3 and Omega 6, which are essential overall health.

Gluten-Free, Vegan, Dairy Free

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 cup of raw almonds
  • 2 cups of dried figs
  • 1 cup of hemp seeds – ½ cup for the recipe and ½ cup to roll the balls
  • ½ cup of sunflower seeds
  • ½ cup of coconut oil (melted)
  • 2 tablespoons of honey (optional)
  • ½ teaspoon of pure vanilla essence

PROCEDURE:

  1. Blend all ingredients (except ½ a cup of hemp seeds used for rolling) in a high speed food processor.
  2. Mixture should form paste.
  3. Roll into balls (about 1 large tablespoon each) and then roll balls in hemp seeds.
  4. Refrigerate for about 30 minutes before server
  5. Store in the fridge.
