This is wonderful smoothie pre or post-workout. It is rich in protein, magnesium, omega 3s. It is perfect for boosting energy, increasing endurance and aiding recovery.
The Energy and Endurance Super Smoothie is also great for new Mums who need that extra energy boost.
INGREDIENTS:
- 1/2 Cup of cashew nuts (or almonds) – if you have time soak them for around an hour before.
- 1 banana (fresh or frozen)
- 1 scoop of natural protein powder (i.e. Eden Rice Protein, Raw Protein or Body Sculpt)
- 2 tablespoons of raw cacao powder\
- 2 – 3 chopped dates (depending on your sweet preference)
- 3/4 cup of almond milk or coconut water and meat from a young coconut
- 2 teaspoons of flaxmeal
- 2 teaspoons of Nordic Natural Fish Oil (optional)
Blend all ingredients in a blender until smooth.
